To improve border efficiency and reduce manual paperwork at immigration counters, the Malaysian government introduced the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC), an online pre-arrival registration system that allows travelers to submit their entry information electronically before reaching the country.

The E-Customs form must typically be submitted within three days prior to arrival in Malaysia. After completing the submission, travelers will receive confirmation that can be presented to immigration officers during the entry process.
